From Afterthought to Game-Changer

The idea came after Evan, one of our cofounders, went on a fly fishing trip in Montana, where tying endless knots was frustrating and time-consuming. The following year, Evan brought the idea into a class project in an entrepreneurship class where he met Jake. Over the next few months, after lots of market research and development, they reached an initial prototype. It was this first version of the NoKnot Dropper Loop Clip that showed them that they truly had something revolutionary.

The “No Knot” Innovation

Countless prototypes later, after almost a year of refining and testing, the NoKnot Dropper Loop Clip was born: a sleek, durable clip that lets anglers set up and swap rigs in seconds; no knots, no hassle, no compromise. Its bold debut on Instagram began with a plethora of negativity and criticism from anglers around the world. However, with each new iteration, people began to see the potential that this product had. When we reached a final product, the support was unbelievable. 

Building a Community

No Knot Fishing Co. wasn’t built in a boardroom; it was built cast by cast, post by post, and by interacting with the community. With every shared catch, every clip snap, anglers joined the tribe. Treating our customers like family from the beginning, we have been able to create and foster a tight knit community. Local fishermen, charter boat captains, avid anglers; united under one principle: fish without the fuss. 

Our Mission

At NoKnot Fishing Company, we’re not just selling clips. We strive to help anglers have a better time fishing by eliminating the knot tying process. This allows for more time for lines in the water, and thus more fish caught. Knot tying is a barrier to entry for many beginners; consequently, even if you are experienced and take a beginner out fishing, chances are you will be tying their knots and dealing with snags and tangles.
